the corrugated case companyMark Hawes has worked at The Corrugated Case Company for four years. He has recently started helping out in his spare time as a volunteer at the RSPCA based at the Chesterfield Branch.

The branch has to raise £250,000 by the end of 2016 for the site to remain open.  The local newspaper, The Derbyshire Times, has launched a “Pounds for Pets” appeal and many open days, fund raising days and events will take place.  Mark has volunteered to help at these days as well as the hours he spends walking the larger breed dogs and helping out generally.

Here is Mark picture with rescue dog Marley who is soon to be going to his new home.  This particular fund raising day resulted in £1244.75 being raised for the branch and we hope there will be many more fruitful events like this to follow in order to help the many homeless and unwanted animals in their care and for the site to remain open.
